The Desert Review has been part of Brawley’s story since 2010, when Betty and Lloyd Miller launched it as an online news source. Four years later — at the request of readers who wanted a hometown paper they could hold in their hands — we began printing a weekly edition. We’ve been covering the Imperial Valley ever since, from local government and agriculture to sports, community milestones and the stories that shape daily life here.
Over the years, our work has been recognized by both city and state organizations, including a recent acknowledgment from California Assemblyman Jeff Gonzalez in honor of our 15th anniversary. We’re proud of those recognitions, but even more proud to serve a community that values independent, locally owned journalism.
